乐山大佛是国家 5A 级景区、联合国世界自然与文化双遗产，坐落于岷江、大渡河、青衣江三江交汇处。这尊 71 米高的弥勒坐像，于唐代凿刻在凌云山红砂岩崖壁上，建造历时 90 年，是世界最大的摩崖石刻弥勒坐像，素有 “佛是一座山，山是一尊佛” 的美誉。游览分为两种方式：徒步走陡峭九曲栈道近距离瞻仰大佛，或者乘船在江上观赏大佛完整全景。行程常与峨眉山搭配游览。

Introduction
Leshan Giant Buddha is a 5A-level scenic spot and UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site, located at the confluence of Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi Rivers. This 71-meter Maitreya Buddha seated statue was carved into the red sandstone cliff of Lingyun Mountain in the Tang Dynasty. The construction lasted for 90 years. It is the largest cliff-carved stone sitting Buddha in the world, known for the famous line "The Buddha is a mountain, and the mountain is a Buddha". Tourists have two ways to visit: hike down the steep Nine-turn Plank Road to get close to the Buddha, or take a cruise ship to admire the full panoramic view from the river surface. It is usually arranged together with Mount Emei in one tour itinerary.
